Goodbye Julie

Everyone at HDOC is saddened by the sudden death of one of our members, Julie, on 12th May 2010 . Julie was a member with her spaniel, Mickey. Always enthusiastic and willing to help with any club rota or event, Julie was one of our most active and supportive members. Her enthusiasm and character epitomised all that dog training is about; happiness, patience and determination. Her personality was infectious, to all who knew her. She will be sorely missed.

We have decided to award the Julie Lake Memorial Trophy to the winner of the pre-beginner class at our dog show. This will be an annual award. Julie and Mickey had brought home many rosettes from their pre-beginner classes and we hope that this will be an award she would have been proud of.

Julie will never be forgotten by her friends at HDOC, and our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this difficult time.
